October Plenty and Apple Day

Advertising

Time Out says

If your school harvest festival came to life, this is what it would end up as. This traditional celebration starts with dancing in the street in front of Shakespeare's Globe before a procession takes the fun across to Borough Market for their Apple Day activities. The Corn Queene will appear in the parade, accompanied by a Hobby Horse strung with bread and cakes and the Green Man covered in wild fruits and foliage, and flags, traditional music and morris dancers will keep the party moving. Once in Borough Market the focus turns to Apple Day, with younger visitors invited to The Story Orchard, conker and apple games for all to play and cider for the grown-ups.
